AC/DC is an Australian rock band together since 1973. Malcolm and Angus Young, brothers who played rhythm and lead guitar, formed the band. In addition to Angus and Cliff Williams on bass and Phil Rudd on drums, the current lineup also features lead singer Brian Johnson and Angus's and Malcolm's nephew, Stevie Young, on rhythm guitar. During the complementary tour, Slade replaced Rudd. Johnson was told to quit performing in 2016 because his hearing was worsening, so Axl Rose, lead vocalist of Guns N' Roses, filled in for Johnson for the rest of the band's 2016 shows. The band took a two-year break after Williams' retirement. After announcing a lineup reshuffling in September 2020, Rock or Bust dropped their seventeenth studio album, Power Up, just two months afterward. At the October 2023 Power Trip festival, drummer Matt Laug replaced Rudd. In February 2024, the Power Up Tour was announced, and bass guitarist Chris Chaney was named in Williams' place instead. For their 50th anniversary on March 15, 2024, and June 21, 2024, AC/DC released their classic repertoire on gold vinyl as part of the AC/DC 50 series.
